Doña Sauce Recipe

By far one of Austin’s iconic restaurants is TacoDeli. In addition to their awesome selection of tacos is the beloved Doña sauce. It’s a creamy spicy salsa that goes great on most anything, and with a few chips it can easily stand on its own.In my quest to try to learn how food I crave is made I took it upon myself to try my hand at the infamous Doña! Let me preface this recipe with the fact that this is my take on a great idea that I didn’t come up with. In no way is this TacoDeli’s recipe, as a matter of fact it’s probably easier to just go buy some from them, but I digress. Ingredients: 12 to 14 Jalapeños 5 cloves garlic 3 Green Onions ½ Lime Juice 1 TBL Olive Oil 1/3 Cup Canola Oil 1 TSP Salt ½ TSP Fresh Black Pepper Optional: ½ Cup Fresh cilantro Start by fire roasting the jalapeños.
