Unbelievable Gluten Free Vegan/Dairy Free Cream Sauce Recipe This recipe is a gluten free dairy free cream sauce recipe that can be used to replace Heavy Cream when called for. This is the simplest and best tasting "Vegan" cream sauce base I have made. Better still it has no Soy which typically leaves a "soyish" after taste. It uses coconut milk but leaves no coconut taste. I think the ratios hide it. My 7 year old son has a dairy allergy he loves this sauce. Ingredients: 1 Cup Raw Cashews 1 Cup Boiling Water 1/2 Cup Coconut Milk (Not Light) ½ tsp. Kosher Salt Directions: 1. In a blender pulse the Raw Cashews until crumbs (approx. 8 times). 2. Slowly add the Boiling Water while pulsing. 3. Continue to blend until smooth. 4. Move the mixture to a sauce pan and add the Coconut Milk and Salt. 5. Heat on medium heat until slow boil. Tip: Heating will thicken sauce, add water to thin. By far one of Austin’s iconic restaurants is TacoDeli. In addition to their awesome selection of tacos is the beloved Doña sauce. It’s a creamy spicy salsa that goes great on most anything, and with a few chips it can easily stand on its own.In my quest to try to learn how food I crave is made I took it upon myself to try my hand at the infamous Doña! Let me preface this recipe with the fact that this is my take on a great idea that I didn’t come up with.
